1.1 Background

Charlotte Institute of Health and Allied Sciences (CIHAS) is the Institute which was established and owned by Holy Spirit Sisters in the Northern Zone of Tanzania. The Institute is governed and administered in accordance with the Catholic Church Policy and policy of Holy Spirit Sisters. CIHAS is among the faith-based private Institute, that is open to all regardless of their faith or religious affiliation. It does not discriminate on any grounds such as faith or backgrounds, religious affiliation, race, ethnicity, gender, disability or caste.

CIHAS is situated at Mlangoni village, Gararagua ward in Siha District, 55 km from Moshi Municipal via Sanya Juu Road. It is within Charlotte Hospital and 2km from Siha District Director officer.
